This page explains how graphicmeat.com itself handles data — analytics, the contact form, and the newsletter. For how our apps (PhotoBooks, MailVault) handle your data, see App privacy.
Analytics
This site uses self-hosted, first-party analytics. All analytics data is processed and stored on our own server and is never shared with, or sent to, any third party. We do not use analytics cookies and we do not store personal information. Visits are counted using an anonymous identifier derived from your IP address and browser signature, hashed with a secret key that is automatically deleted every 24 hours — after that, re-identifying any visitor is impossible, even for us. Raw IP addresses and browser signatures are never written to disk. What we record: pages viewed, referring site, clicks, scrolling, and approximate time on page — in aggregate, to understand which content works and to improve the site.
Contact form and newsletter
The contact form sends your message to us by email so we can reply — we don't store submissions in a database. The newsletter signup uses double opt-in: we email you a confirmation link before you're subscribed, and we store your email address only to send you updates about Graphic Meat. Neither is ever shared with a third party.
